Seminar: 4th Annual Corporate Counsel Institute

When: Friday, March 9, 2018

Where: Auditorium / Mitchell Hamline College of Law

The 4th annual Corporate Counsel Institute will include Greene Espel attorneys Jenny Gassman-Pines and Karl Procaccini. Jenny's panel titled "Sexual Harassment in a #MeToo World" will include a discussion of procedures after an allegation of sexual harassment, and navigating public perceptions. Karl will moderate a panel entitled "In-house Counsel in the Crosshairs of a Government Investigation.” Using real-life situations, the panel will discuss the ethical lines in-house counsel needs to avoid, and strategies for coping with government investigations. The panel will also provide an overview of the relevant Rules of Professional Responsibility.

Jenny’s practice involves defending private and public-sector clients facing employment claims in courtroom and agency sessions. She regularly educates audiences of in-house counsel, business executives, and other trial attorneys about how to reduce liability exposure arising from business communications generally, and interactions with in-house counsel in particular. Karl routinely counsels clients on effective and efficient compliance programs to prevent costly investigations and remediation. He has presented numerous CLEs and has served as an adjunct law professor in the areas of business regulation, compliance, and international anti-corruption law.
