Faris Rashid Recognized by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a 2023 40 Under 40 Honoree

Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal is recognizing Faris Rashid as a 2023 40 Under 40 Honoree. Business Journal editors pick 40 leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated excellent professional accomplishments while also working to further their communities.

Faris Rashid represents clients in technology, intellectual-property, and trade-secret disputes. Faris tries cases, argues high-stakes motions, and deftly cross-examines witnesses ranging from executives to entomologists. A Fortune 100 client said that Faris’s “briefs sing, and he has won the praise of many state and federal judges for his composure and agility as an oral advocate.” Faris has a particular knack for understanding cutting-edge products, technologies, and business arrangements and then explaining the issues in a way that earns the court’s trust.

Faris is also a dedicated community member who volunteers his time to ensure the Minnesota political process is free from financial corruption. The Minnesota Senate recently confirmed his appointment to serve on the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board. Governor Tim Walz initially appointed Faris to serve in July 2020, and Faris served as Board Chair from January 2022 through December 2022. Faris is an active member of several legal industry organizations, including Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and the Hennepin County Bar Association, where he serves as Co-Chair of the Civil Section CLE Committee, and Faris gives back to the community through pro bono legal work. He is currently working with The Advocates for Human Rights to represent an immigrant seeking asylum in the United States.
