Greene Espel secures green card for child from Ecuador

Greene Espel attorney Janine Kimble recently secured a Special Immigrant Juvenile Status visa and then lawful permanent residency for a young man from rural Ecuador. Her client had been the subject of repeated domestic violence at the hands of his father since he was a young child, and he fled to the United States. A state court in Minnesota found that he would be subject to abuse, abandonment, or neglect if he were returned to Ecuador. Greene Espel represented this client on a pro bono basis along with The Advocates for Human Rights.
