What is litigation funding? What are the legal, policy and ethical issues, and how does it really work? Get an overview from a panel that includes a lawyer with experience in litigation funding and an asset manager from the funding side.

Whether and in what circumstances litigation funding arrangements may violate Minnesota Rule of Professional Conduct 5.4(a) prohibition on fee-splitting with non-lawyers (including New York City Bar Association opinion on this topic); ABA best practices concerning litigation funding and a lawyer’s ethical obligations (e.g. maintaining client confidentiality, fully advising the client, assuring that client retains control of the litigation, representing the interests of the client and not the funder).
