Greene Espel attorney Amran Farah was selected as one of the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Honorees. The honor celebrates those in the legal profession who go above and beyond in their efforts to create a more diverse and inclusionary community.

In addition to her practice at Greene Espel, Amran serves as President of Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers (MABL). In her role, Amran has advocated, supported, and championed for a diverse legal profession. Under her tenure, MABL partnered with Michell Hamline Law School in supporting students of color. She has personally served as a mentor to students, including helping them prepare for examinations, put together resumes; and foster a supportive network, especially for those who are firsts in their families for furthering their education. Amran is also the past President of the Somali American Bar Association. Amran chairs the Council of Minnesotans of African Heritage and is a board member of B.R.A.V.E., a non-profit focused on the success of young East African girls.
