Greene Espel PLLP is delighted to welcome former Assistant U.S. Attorney Chad Blumenfield to our team of litigators, counselors, and investigators.  Chad brings significant experience that supports extraordinary client service across a range of matters.

Chad joins Greene Espel as a Partner to expand our significant capabilities to represent clients in False Claims Act cases, healthcare litigation, government and internal investigations, and high stakes litigation in a variety of industries. Prior to joining Greene Espel, he led the Civil Fraud Unit for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Minnesota, spearheading the District’s nationally recognized health care fraud enforcement efforts. Chad led nearly one hundred civil fraud investigations during his fifteen years with the Minnesota USAO, developing expertise in the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback statutes. Chad is one of the few attorneys in the nation to successfully try multiple $100+ million False Claims Act lawsuits to a jury.  

Chad uses his unique government experience and perspective to serve both organizational and individual clients. Chad provides an inside perspective to clients’ interactions with prosecutors and regulators in connection with government enforcement actions and inquiries, including with the U.S. Department of Justice, HHS-OIG, MFCU, FBI, FDA, and others.
