Overview
Chad Blumenfield is a former federal prosecutor who represents companies in government enforcement actions and complex business litigation, particularly False Claims Act cases, healthcare litigation, government and internal investigations, and high-stakes litigation across a variety of industries.
Formerly an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Minnesota’s Civil Division, Chad was head of the Civil Fraud Unit and spearheaded the District's nationally recognized health care fraud enforcement efforts. He led nearly a hundred civil fraud investigations during his fifteen years with the office, developing expertise in the False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback statutes. Chad is one of the few attorneys nationally to successfully try multiple $100+ million False Claims Act lawsuits to a jury. He uses his unique government experience and perspective to serve the firm’s business clients.
Chad represents companies and individuals in state and federal courts and helps clients interface with many government agencies. He counsels and represents local businesses and international corporations in enforcement actions and investigations brought by the U.S. Department of Justice and other law enforcement agencies.
