The 42nd Annual International Business Law Institute will feature international experts, global perspectives, and insightful analysis. Among the speakers are Karl Procaccini—who also chairs the Institute’s planning committee—and David Wallace-Jackson. Karl and his fellow panelists will present on Corruption and Political Upheavel, using case studies to discuss how companies can limit risk during political unrest. David’s workshop-style session will discuss International Counsel Under Fire, and provide strategies for navigating issues in multiple jurisdictions.
Karl and David are members of the firm’s Business Litigation, Compliance and Anti-Corruption, and International practice groups. Karl routinely counsels clients on effective and efficient compliance programs to prevent costly investigations and remediation. He has presented numerous CLEs and served as an adjunct law professor in the areas of business regulation, compliance, and international anti-corruption law. David investigates international business conduct issues as they arise under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the U.K. Bribery Act.
