In legal practice, Amran has a deep knowledge of courts having clerked for the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, Hennepin County Public Defender’s Office, the Honorable Pamela G. Alexander in Hennepin County District Court, and the Honorable Franklin L. Noel in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Amran relies on collaboration, persistence, and optimism to advise clients in all stages of complex commercial matters. Beyond her practice, Amran serves as President of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, and the past President of the Somali American Bar Association. Amran chairs the Council of Minnesotans of African Heritage and is a board member of B.R.A.V.E., a non-profit focused on the success of young East African girls.
