Greene Espel attorneys Cliff Greene and Faris Rashid will chair an upcoming Minnesota CLE Seminar titled “Quick-Draw Litigation—Strategies for Winning Injunctions and Other Threshold Motions.” In addition to chairing the seminar, they will join colleagues Aaron Knoll and Anna Tobin in presenting legal issues and advocacy tactics to attendees.

An introduction from Cliff Greene to the Quick-Draw Litigation seminar. Cliff will share some reflections regarding what he’s learned over the 15 years since his last Quick-Draw Litigation Seminar.

Changes in Concurrent and Supplemental Jurisdiction
Cliff will provide a review and discussion of recent developments affecting concurrent and supplemental jurisdiction issues that arise early in a case, including an engaging review of the Supreme Court’s Artis decision, in which Justice Ginsburg authored the majority opinion and Justice Gorsuch wrote for the dissenters.

It Just Got Personal: Major Changes in Personal Jurisdiction Law
Personal jurisdiction law has changed significantly in the past few years due to major U.S. Supreme Court decisions. The panelists will present a lively, practical discussion of changes to keep attendees up to date.

Succeeding at Early Mediation and Settlement
Early mediation and settlement conferences can serve clients well when used effectively. This session will be a facilitated discussion among experienced mediators, with candid thoughts about how to settle successfully.

Cliff is a founding member of the firm and one of Minnesota’s most respected trial attorneys, regularly defending clients in high-profile claims including employment actions. Cliff also recently joined Mitchell Hamline as a Distinguished Practitioner in Residence.
Aaron represents national and international businesses in a wide range of commercial, consumer, and class-action disputes. He also advocates for renewable-energy developers and conducts internal and agency investigations.
Anna has extensive knowledge of the federal court system in Minnesota and uses her clerkship experience at both the magistrate and district court levels to assist clients in all stages of litigation.
Faris represents clients in complex commercial litigation, including matters involving trade secrets, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, technology and software-related disputes, and product liability claims.
