Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, as chosen through a multi-phased process that includes independent research, peer nominations, and evaluations on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only a small percentage of attorneys in each state are named each year to these annual lists—no more than 5 percent to the Super Lawyers list and no more than 2.5 percent to the Rising Stars list.
