The “POWER 30” list—curated through extensive interviews with legal luminaries and analysis of landmark cases—recognizes attorneys whose presence on a case “signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.”

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Best Lawyers compiles its annual recognition by a comprehensive peer review survey which is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.

Each year, Minnesota Lawyer selects a small group of attorneys in their first ten years of practice who distinguish themselves through their professional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the community.

The Empowering Women awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and elevating women in business across Minnesota.

Only a small percentage of attorneys in each state are named each year to these annual lists—no more than 5 percent to the Super Lawyers list and no more than 2.5 percent to the Rising Stars list.

The committee is made up of six attorneys, including current and former judges and other leaders in the legal community.

Chad joins Greene Espel as a Partner to expand our significant capabilities to represent clients in False Claims Act cases, healthcare litigation, government and internal investigations, and high stakes litigation in a variety of industries.

This year’s recognition highlights the firm’s “widely respected litigation group able to provide expertise across a range of commercial disputes, including both class actions and single-plaintiff claims.” 

The City hired a Greene Espel team led by Surya Saxena to begin an investigation beginning in March 2022 and released three Greene Espel investigative reports summarizing the scope and findings of the investigation.

Each of these attorneys brings significant experience that allows us to better serve our clients—particularly in Investigations, a key area of our practice.
