Minnesota Lawyer’s Top Women in Law recognition celebrates the outstanding achievements of women in Minnesota’s legal community.

Best Lawyers compiles its annual recognition by a comprehensive peer review survey which is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.

Each year, Minnesota Lawyer selects a small group of attorneys in their first ten years of practice who distinguish themselves through their professional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the community.

The Empowering Women awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and elevating women in business across Minnesota.

Only a small percentage of attorneys in each state are named each year to these annual lists—no more than 5 percent to the Super Lawyers list and no more than 2.5 percent to the Rising Stars list.

The committee is made up of six attorneys, including current and former judges and other leaders in the legal community.

This year’s recognition highlights the firm’s “widely respected litigation group able to provide expertise across a range of commercial disputes, including both class actions and single-plaintiff claims.” 

Business Journal editors pick 40 leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated excellent professional accomplishments while also working to further their communities.

The Commission solicits, considers, and recommends candidates to the Governor for vacancies in the district courts and the Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals.

The panel will evaluate and recommend the best-qualified candidates to the District Judges for consideration.
