The State Board of Civil Legal Aid works to ensure access to high-quality civil legal services in every Minnesota county by administering the statewide Civil Legal Services (CLS) network.

Greene Espel PLLP is delighted to welcome attorney Alison Vandenburgh Zoschak to our team of litigators, counselors, and investigators.   

The “POWER 30” list—curated through extensive interviews with legal luminaries and analysis of landmark cases—recognizes attorneys whose presence on a case “signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.”

The panel will review applications, interview prospective candidates, and recommend the five best-qualified candidates to the District Judges for consideration.

Best Lawyers compiles its annual recognition by a comprehensive peer review survey which is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.

Each year, Minnesota Lawyer selects a small group of attorneys in their first ten years of practice who distinguish themselves through their professional accomplishments, leadership, and service to the community.

The Empowering Women awards shine a light on companies and organizations that have demonstrated tangible efforts and documented results in supporting and elevating women in business across Minnesota.

Only a small percentage of attorneys in each state are named each year to these annual lists—no more than 5 percent to the Super Lawyers list and no more than 2.5 percent to the Rising Stars list.

The panel will review applications, interview prospective candidates, and recommend the five best-qualified candidates to the District Judges for consideration.

The Children's Law Center promotes the legal rights and well-being of children and youth, and its staff and volunteers provide direct representation of children and youth in the child welfare system as well as advocate for changes in the systems that affect their lives.

The committee is made up of six attorneys, including current and former judges and other leaders in the legal community.

The team includes Cargill attorneys Kate Hibbard, Brooke Tassoni, and Molly Thornton, as well as Greene Espel attorneys Holley Horrell, Mark Johnson, Aaron Knoll, Jeya Paul, Faris Rashid, Anna Tobin, Gina Tonn, and X. Kevin Zhao.

This year’s recognition highlights the firm’s “widely respected litigation group able to provide expertise across a range of commercial disputes, including both class actions and single-plaintiff claims.”
